The symbol for centered. yoga is a simple circle with a point at its center — a form found in ancient solar symbolism and Celtic stone carvings in Scotland and Ireland. It is also the traditional astronomical symbol for the sun (⊙).

With Scottish roots and a connection to the Hay clan, the mark feels remembered rather than invented.

The outer ring represents the shared space we step into through practice.
The center point represents presence — breath, awareness, self, and quiet power.

A circle of space.
A center of power.

Before this symbol, I was drawn to the spiral — a shape associated with movement, growth, and becoming.

The spiral moves outward.
The circle returns inward.

Over time, movement simplified into stillness.
What was once becoming became being.

At times the mark can feel like an eclipse —
light softened rather than extinguished.
Strength held rather than projected.

The symbol lives within both my yoga practice and my art.

A field.
A center.
A return.

Holding space for presence and quiet power.

Nothing required.
Everything available.
